Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur have seemingly missed out on Ansu Fati to Brighton and Hove Albion, and now they could find the Seagulls beating them to the signing of Conor Gallagher from Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea as well, according to media speculation.
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Barcelona forward Ansu Fati and Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher in the summer transfer window.
The Times has reported that Tottenham want(ed) to sign Fati from Barcelona, but the Spain international forward is now off to Brighton and Hove Albion on a loan deal.
Spurs were in advanced talks over a deal for Fati, but the forward has now been convinced to switch to Brighton instead, according to the report.
The Times has also claimed that Tottenham are keen on Gallagher and are likely to to step up their bid to bring the Chelsea star to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before the summer transfer window closes on Friday night.

However, just like with Fati, there is now a chance that Spurs could be beaten to the signing of the 23-year-old England international midfielder by Premier League rivals Brighton.
According to Football Transfers, Brighton are keen on Gallagher and are willing to pay the £50 million transfer fee that Chelsea want for him.
The Seagulls are now in talks with the representatives of the England international midfielder, according to the report.
Football Transfers has added that Gallagher is “open to a move” to Brighton.
The report has mentioned Tottenham among the other clubs interested in the Chelsea youngster.
So, if Tottenham do not step up their bid to sign Gallagher now, then they could miss out on the Chelsea midfielder to Brighton.
Gallagher has made 102 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The young midfielder has scored 13 goals and given six assists in those matches.
