Kanye West has hit the headlines this week after Adidas terminated their partnership with the 45-year-old, following anti-Semitic comments posted on his Twitter account.
The American rapper also saw JP Morgan and Gap end their association with him – now, Premier League outfit Bournemouth have taken action after his comments.
Bournemouth axe Kanye West song
Well, this won’t exactly hit West – who legally changed his name to Ye in 2021 – as hard as the decisions taken by Adidas and JP Morgan, although it is the first instance of those in the Premier League responding.
For a number of seasons, the Cherries have played West’s 2010 hit Power before kick-off.
However, according to The Athletic, those on the south coast have decided to ditch the track.

A replacement is yet to be chosen by Bournemouth, who have until Saturday to find an alternative with Tottenham travelling down to the Vitality Stadium for a 3pm kickoff.
It is a show of unity with the Jewish community from Bournemouth, with the Cherries firmly against any kind of discriminatory language.
Which football team does Kanye West support?
West has never openly claimed to support a football team, although there have been some clues in the past about who he follows.
Manchester United posted a photo of the rapper wearing a Red Devils tracksuit back in 2018 with his initials on it, although he has never claimed to be a fan of the English giants.
West has also been spotted enjoying a game of Major League Soccer among Atlanta United supporters, posting a video on Instagram of himself amongst the chanting fans.
If West really is a fan of either Manchester United or Atlanta United, it feels unlikely that they will want him involved in any marketing operations anytime soon, as both sides are represented by Adidas.
