Joaquin Correa has asked to leave Lazio with the Serie A outfit now identifying replacements for a winger linked with Premier League trio Everton, Liverpool and Arsenal, according to La Lazio Siamo Noi.
What the Argentine lacks in consistency, he more than makes up for in craft and class.
Correa may be about as frustrating a footballer as you could possibly find – flitting from unplayable to anonymous almost week-to-week – but when fit and firing you’d be hard pressed to find a more compelling attacking talent.
Just look at the way Correa dismantled AC Milan in March; scything through Stefano Pioli’s side while scoring twice in a 3-0 win from a new-look false nine role.
With Liverpool on the lookout for someone capable of challenging the increasingly erratic Roberto Firmino for a place in Jurgen Klopp’s front three, Correa’s ability to thrive in a number of different roles certainly works in his favour.

According to reports coming out of Rome recently, Liverpool are interested.
The former Sevilla schemer has also entered negotiations with Everton (Solo La Lazio), via his agent, while Arsenal are planning a bid of their own.

After three seasons at the Stadio Olimpico, it is believed that Correa wants a new adventure, a nagging sense of wanderlust proving impossible to ignore.
The 26-year-old has asked to leave and, what’s more, Lazio are unlikely to stand in his way.
Bundesliga duo Julian Brandt and Filip Kostic may be too rich for Lazio’s blood, although Stefan Jovetic and Jose Callejon (who shone under new coach Maurizio Sarri at Napoli) are also under consideration.
As is former fan favourite Felipe Anderson, who may be allowed to leave West Ham on a free transfer.
