The DR Congo winger is currently out on loan at League One side Charlton Athletic.

Whilst Leeds United’s current crop were busy fetching a draw in Suffolk yesterday v Ipswich Town one of their players discarded out on loan was finally scoring his first goal in English football.
Charlton Athletic drew 3-3 with Rochdale yesterday, with a late goal from Jorge Teixeira earning them a share of the spoils. There first goal of the game however came courtesy of a Leeds-owned talent. Jordan Botaka scored in the 41st minute to level the game at 1-1.
The DR Congo winger joined Leeds in the summer of 2015 from Dutch side Excelsior. The club were desperate to add wide options to the team and Botaka was a target for the then Leeds United boss Uwe Rosler.
But he has found it tough in England. He made his debut for Leeds against Middlesbrough in September 2015 and Rosler was sacked just three weeks later.

Botaka went on to start just three games for Leeds and was loaned out to the Addicks in the summer, as he was not in the plans of new manager Garry Monk.
He has struggled at the Valley but will now hope his first goal in England can spark some form and see him finally make a mark.
