Juventus are reportedly ready to open contract talks with Adrien Rabiot amid rumours that Newcastle United and Tottenham are interested in signing the France international.
According to CalcioMercato, the Serie A giants will soon meet with Rabiot’s agent, the player’s infamous mother Veronique Rabiot, to discuss a new Juventus contract, with Premier League clubs interested in signing the 27-year-old after a sensational 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The new will come as a blow for Newcastle and Tottenham, who according to Gazzetta dello Sport were recently viewed as the two favourites for Rabiot, whose current deal with Juventus is due to expire in the summer, potentially setting up a bargain transfer this month.

However, despite plenty of interest from the Premier League and beyond, Juventus are now taking steps to keep Rabiot in Turin beyond his current deal, with the midfielder’s form at club level this season being described as ‘breathtaking’ by journalist and pundit Mina Rzouki.
Indeed, Juventus signing Rabiot to a new contract would be quite a shock considering how much the midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Italian giants. However, with the Old Lady now on a winning run of eight consecutive wins and zero goals conceded, a change could befall the midfielder to stay.
Rabiot signing new Juventus contract would be a stunning twist

Rabiot’s future in 2023 looked nailed-on to be away from Juventus given the midfielder’s previous seasons at the club and the growing interest from Premier League clubs. Which is why the former PSG star signing a new contract with the Bianconeri would be nothing short of a shock to many.
After all, Rabiot was close to leaving Juventus in the summer and looked set to be one of the many big-name players who would be sold as part of the Juventus rebuild. And for Newcastle and Tottenham, missing out on the Frenchman would be a surprise that will also sting.
