Adrian Mariappa has signed a new two-year deal at Watford and fans have reacted online.

Watford defender Adrian Mariappa has signed a new two-year deal at Vicarage Road, extending his stay until the summer of 2020.
The 31-year-old featured 28 times for the Hornets last season and signed his new contract on Monday, much to the joy of Watford fans.
Although Mariappa was an unused sub in Saturday’s 2-0 over Brighton and Hove Albion, he is expected to feature throughout the season.
Mariappa is in his second spell with Watford and can play either right-back or as a central defender, giving boss Javi Gracia necessary options if the occasion calls.

Graduating from Watford’s academy, Mariappa has made 285 league appearances for the Hertfordshire club since making his debut in 2005.
Strong, energetic and tenacious in the tackle, the Jamaica international is perhaps one of the Premier League’s most underrated players and Watford fans will be happy he has extended his stay.
