Former Arsenal player Adrian Clarke believes that Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette would be a good signing for the Gunners.
According to reports from The Telegraph, Arsenal are hoping to complete the signing of Lacazette for a club record deal of £52 million.
The report claims that an initial £45 million has been agreed with Lyon for the French striker, that could potentially rise to £52 million.
Clarke, who played for the Gunners between 1991-97, has hailed the 26-year-old striker as a potent six-yard box predator.
Since breaking into the senior team in 2010, Lacazette has made over 270 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 129 goals.

In the last three seasons, he scored 27, 21, and 28 league goals for Lyon, respectively. He has made 13 appearances for the French national team.
Clarke says that critics of Lacazette often point out that he isn’t the type of a striker who does a great deal.
However, he adds that although Lacazette would cost a lot of money, he is a really good finisher.
“Lot of money, but this is a guy that has scored over 30 goals last season. He has had two prolific seasons out of three,” said Clarke in Alan Brazil’s show at TalkSport.
“He scores a lot of penalties that has to be said. And his critics suggest that Lacazette isn’t the kind of striker that does a great deal.
“I think he is a really good finisher. A real six-yard box predator or a 18-yard box predator.”
