West Ham goalkeeper Adrian has had to watch Joe Hart shine from the bench of late.

West Ham United goalkeeper Adrian has told the club’s official website that on a personal level, the 2017-18 campaign has been “frustrating” as he remains second-choice to Joe Hart.
Adrian, 31, is expected to return to the side this weekend as the Hammers face Manchester City, with Hart barred from making featuring as he remains on loan from the Premier League champions at the London Stadium.
The former Real Betis goalkeeper came into the side in December as David Moyes decided to drop the under-fire Hart, which saw Adrian make 15 consecutive Premier League appearances.

But Hart has been reinstated as the Hammers’ number one for the previous five games and excelled against the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Southampton. Adrian considered his future at the club, but did state that he wants to remain.
“I like to play, I like to enjoy playing and I want to be the No1, but I have to deserve it as well. If the team can help you with their defending as well, that’s much better,” Adrian said.
“This season for me has been a bit disappointing and frustrating at times, but I have one more year on my contract and we will see more when the season has finished.
“I hope I have the chance to play until the end of the season and that I can show I am here to help West Ham, as I enjoy it here at London Stadium.”

Adrian is contracted to the Hammers until June 2019, after the Hammers activated a two-year clause in his contract last summer. The Daily Star claim he is being paid £35,000 a week.
Former side Real Betis have been linked with a summer move for Adrian, with the Hammers perhaps considering a sale in order to avoid losing the stopper on a free next summer.
