Adnan Januzaj does not have a future at Manchester United. However, he wants to stay in England.
Sunderland’s Adnan Januzaj looks dejected
Sunderland forward, Adnan Januzaj, on loan from Manchester United, reportedly does not have any future at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho.
United could be looking to use Januzaj as a makeweight in any future part-money and player transfer deals this summer.
“Adnan wants to stay in England. He’s expected to leave the club this summer and is not wanted by Jose any more,” said a Red Devil source to The Sun.
It is highly unlikely that Januzaj would stay at Sunderland if the Black Cats are relegated. Most importantly, the Belgian may not be willing to play in the Championship.
Three possible destinations for Januzaj
Crystal Palace – Sam Allardyce would be requiring a winger especially if Wilfried Zaha leaves the club in the summer. Januzaj may not be a like for like replacement, but he would bring a different quality to the side.
Newcastle United – The Andros Townsend saga in January has shown that Rafa Benitez will be keen to sign a left footed winger when Newcastle United return to the Premier League next season. Januzaj, an intelligent player, should be a smart signing.
Everton – Could Ronald Koeman be interested in Januzaj’s flexibility? Several United players have moved to Everton in recent years, and Januzaj could opt for that route. Plus, United may use him as a part exchange deal to lure Romelu Lukaku.
