Celtic have been linked with a move for Abel Hernandez.

Hull City boss Nigel Adkins has offered a blunt response to reports surrounding Celtic’s interest in striker Abel Hernandez, suggesting he doesn’t know anything about it.
Hernandez, 27, joined Hull from Palermo back in the summer of 2014 having shown real potential in Italy, though his time at the KCOM Stadium has been a little up-and-down.
His first season saw him score just four Premier League goals, but he hit back with 20 goals in 39 Championship appearances to immediately fire Hull back to the top flight.

The Uruguayan managed just four Premier League goals again last season though, and suffered a ruptured Achilles back in August 2017, which kept him out of action for almost seven months.
Hernandez is now back in action, and has hit four goals in five games since his return, helping pull Adkins’ Tigers side away from the Championship relegation zone.
Now, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, Hull risk losing Hernandez on a free transfer, and reports suggest that Celtic are ready to snap him up.
Calcio Mercato claim that Celtic have offered Hernandez a three-year deal to become the highest-paid player in Scottish football, with Brendan Rodgers seemingly keen to land him as a potential replacement for Moussa Dembele.

However, Hull boss Adkins has now told the BBC’s Matthew Bone that he doesn’t know anything about Celtic’s alleged interest in Hernandez, offering a blunt response when asked about the rumours.
Adkins added to the Hull Daily Mail that he doesn’t know if it’s possible to keep Hernandez, but he would love for the striker to snub rival interest and stay at the KCOM Stadium.
With Celtic able to offer European football to Hernandez, they may well lead the race for his signature – but with Hull fighting to keep him, and interest from Fiorentina, Sampdoria and Monterrey, it promises to be a tough battle.
