Paris Saint-Germain have already lost young defender Tanguy Kouassi to Bayern Munich, and they have now lost another prospect.

The French side have become one of the world’s biggest clubs, but the pathway for young players has been a problem for some time now.

The likes of Moussa Dembele, Odsonne Edouard, Moussa Diaby, Christopher Nkunku, Jonathan Ikone, Matteo Guendouzi, Boubakary Soumare, Mike Maignan and Yacine Adli have all decided to move on in recent years.

Kouassi has joined the list, and now midfielder Adil Aouchiche can be added too after he confirmed his exit from the club.

The youngster has taken to Instagram to post a photo of himself as a PSG player through the years, adding ‘a page is turning, thank you Paris for all these unforgettable moments’.

So, where is Aouchiche heading? The 17-year-old will be a man in demand, after hitting two goals and two assists in 10 UEFA Youth League games.

Arsenal want him according to ESPN, but he isn’t heading to North London. Instead, L’Equipe claim that Aouchiche has reached a ‘final agreement’ to join Saint-Etienne.

Claude Puel has won the race for Aouchiche in an ambitious move, with a €1.2milion (£1million) compensation fee paid to the French giants.

Mikel Arteta may be disappointed to miss out on Aouchiche, as he could have emerged as a real prospect for Arsenal, but they must now look elsewhere.
