Everton face Swansea on Monday evening at Goodison Park.

Everton manager Sam Allardyce is seen during the Premier League match between Newcastle United and Everton at St. James Park on December 13, 2017 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England.

Sam Allardyce will have a number of selection headaches ahead of Everton’s clash against Swansea on Monday night, with who to start on the flanks likely to be his biggest decision.

The Toffees have plenty of options out wide, including the likes of Aaron Lennon, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Nikola Vlasic, Kevin Mirallas and the returning Yannick Bolasie. But instead, Allardyce should place his faith in someone else.

Ademola Lookman has hardly been given a chance to show his real quality in the Premier League this season, making just one start for the entirety of the campaign, coming on as a substitute five times.

The 20-year-old, who cost £11million in January 2017 from Charlton Athletic, has impressed when given the chance including Everton’s 3-0 Europa League win over Apollon Limassol.

The pacy winger headed home Everton’s first before finding the top corner with a 25-yard rocket to ensure Everton earned three points in the Europa League earlier this month.

Now, Allardyce must surely give the England Under-20 World Cup winner a chance as Lookman, who is earning £23,000 a week according to the Daily Star, is surely a better option than Aaron Lennon.

10 years his senior, 30-year-old Lennon has worked hard and continues to impress, but he is lacking the attacking tenacity and confidence that Lookman would provide.

Expected to beat Swansea, Allardyce must field attackers in his side that are considered the most dangerous, rather than the likes of Lennon who are more effective as a defensive winger.
