Everton attacker Ademola Lookman has told the Bundesliga’s official website that he could remain with RedBull Leipzig beyond the end of the season.

The 20-year-old was ushered out on loan by Sam Allardyce in the January transfer window to Bundesliga outfit Leipzig, after falling down the pecking order at Goodison Park.

The signing of Theo Walcott, as well as the return of long-term absentee Yannick Bolasie saw the former Charlton Atheltic star decide to move on loan, choosing Leipzig over a move to an English side.

Lookman has impressed overseas, and has now stated that his future is “out of my control” which could see Leipzig complete a permanent deal for the England Under-21 international.

“I’ve been asked this question so many times,” Lookman said, when asked about his future. “My loan is until the end of the season and I’m focused until the end of the season. Whatever happens, happens. It’s out of my control.”

Since joining Leipzig, Lookman has been involved in four goals in his nine appearances in Germany’s top flight, scoring against Borussia Monchengladbach and Werder Bremen and laying on assists against Hoffenheim and Koln.

He has a contract at Everton until the summer of 2021, which the Daily Star claim is worth £23,000 a week. But he may decide to cut that short if Leipzig or indeed any other interested parties table an offer this summer.
