Tim Sherwood has said on Sky Sports News (1:30pm, August 21, 2021) that Tottenham Hotspur will not be able to sign Adama Traore from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a loan deal this summer.
Sky Sports have reported that Tottenham are looking for a loan deal for Wolves winger Traore.
Former Spurs manager Sherwood worked with the 25-year-old Spain international winger at Aston Villa, and the Englishman does not think that the North London club will be successful in their quest to sign him on loan.
Sherwood said about a loan deal for Traore on Sky Sports News (1:30pm, August 21, 2021): “I wouldn’t have thought so. I wouldn’t have thought so.”
Loan deal unlikely
Tottenham’s interest in Traore has been well documented.
It was only on Friday that Eurosport claimed that Tottenham or Leeds United could be last two clubs standing for the winger.
Liverpool have also been linked with the former Barcelona prospect.

Eurosport have reported that Traore wants to leave and Wolves themselves are willing to sell the winger for £40 million.
It is hard to see why the Wanderers would send the winger out on loan.
It is not as if Wolves are struggling for money and need to get players off their books for wages.
If Tottenham want to sign Traore, then they have to make a bid for a permanent deal.
