Former Aston Villa youngster speaks about his miserable season at the club.
Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore has spoken to The Guardian of his regret at how his spell at Aston Villa went so terribly.
Traore was signed by Tim Sherwood’s Villa in 2015 from Barcelona with a big reputation.
Traore’s time at Villa was hampered badly by injury, and the under pressure team did not have time to carry him to get him up to speed.

Speaking to The Guardian he admits it was far from a good situation for him to land in.
Traore said: “It was difficult at Villa because they’d struggled for two years and I’d come mainly from Barcelona B in the second division in Spain.
“I needed time to adapt but Tim Sherwood and Rémi Garde had to win games; they didn’t have time to think about little things about my game. It was a bad moment, it was such a hard, sad experience.”

After injuries affected his pre-season, Aston Villa decided to cut their losses in a player-swap deal for Middlesbrough’s Albert Adomah.
It was a move which suited all parties, with Adomah impressing at Villa of late, Traore has begun to do himself justice at Middlesbrough.
The winger has made five starts in the Premier League this season, and is at a team which is not under the same relegation pressure which Villa found themselves under last season, with manager Aitor Karanka looking secure in his job.
Traore is still just 20-years-old there is plenty of time for him to reach his potential. His spell at Villa is quickly becoming a fading memory.
