Brighton & Hove Albion have been linked with a move for the Leeds United talisman.
Adam Virgo has reacted to reports linking Leeds United striker Chris Wood with a move to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Wood scored 27 goals as Leeds narrowly missed out on a play-off place last season – more than any other Championship player.

And according to The Sun on Sunday (August 6, page 61), Brighton are ready to offer £12 million for the New Zealand international, as they look to strengthen the strikeforce that got them into the Premier League as second tier runners-up.
A former Brighton loanee – who narrowly missed out on playing alongside Virgo while on the south coast – and someone who Seagulls boss Chris Hughton once signed for Birmingham City, an approach for Wood from the Amex Stadium would perhaps come as little surprise.
But Virgo – who has since turned to punditry – is not convinced that Wood would be the right fit for his former club.
“Chris Wood linked with Brighton,” the 34-year-old posted on Twitter. “Great season last year for Leeds but think too similar to (Tomer) Hemed + (Glenn) Murray need striker to strech (sic) play behind.”
At the time of writing, Wood is due to kick off his third season at Leeds with a trip to Bolton Wanderers on Sunday afternoon.
