Celtic got the better of Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen 2-1 at Hampden Park in Glasgow in the final of the prestigious cup competition on Saturday afternoon.
Aberdeen took the lead as early as the ninth minute when Jonny Hayes scored, but the Hoops restored parity through Stuart Armstrong just minutes later.

Sunderland defender Matthews was following the match, and the 25-year-old Wales international was pleased to see Celtic compete the domestic treble.
The right-back, who is under contract at Sunderland until June 2019, played for Celtic from 2011 until 2015.
