Leeds United took Adam Lovatt on trial, but he has confirmed that he was not there for the full five days.

Adam Lovatt has taken to Twitter to thank Leeds after he underwent a trial with the Championship high-flyers, but confirmed that the time spent with the Whites was shorter than initially planned.
Lovatt is currently on Hastings United’s books, but it appeared that he may get a chance to surge through the leagues when the non-league side confirmed on their official website that the youngster was set to undergo a trial with Leeds.
Given the jump, it appeared to say a lot about how excited the Whites were about his potential that they made the approach and offered him the chance to work with the club for five days as he looked to earn a move to Elland Road.
It is not clear how the trial played out, but Lovatt has issued an intriguing update on social media. The youngster thanked both clubs, as well as those who had sent him messages of support.

But he added that the trial had been cut from five days to two. It is not clear what the reason was for the change of plan or whether he has done enough to earn a contract with Leeds.
If something does come of the trial, then Lovatt will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of both Ryan Edmondson and Sam Dalby who arrived from the non-league game and turned themselves into key members of the under-23 side at Thorp Arch.

Here is Lovatt’s tweet following the trial…
