Wigan Athletic forward Adam Le Fondre scored on his first start for the Latics against his former club Wolverhampton Wanderers yesterday.

Adam Le Fondre has expressed his delight on social media site Twitter, after scoring his first goal for Wigan Athletic against Wolverhampton Wanderers last night.
Le Fondre left Cardiff City to join Wigan during the summer transfer window, and was given the nod by Gary Caldwell to start against the side which he spent last season on loan at.
Caldwell’s decision was vindicated in the first half, when Le Fondre finished well to put the Latics in front.

Wolves did fire back, but Wigan went on to claim an important victory when Will Grigg raced through and finished well in the closing stages.
Wigan are now off the bottom of the Championship table, and sit in 21st spot.
And Le Fondre was delighted to make such an impact on his first start for his new club.
Wigan’s next match comes against an in-form Brentford side at Griffin Park at the weekend, and Le Fondre looks likely to start again in the fixture.
If Wigan can keep up the three points against the Bees they could move all the way up to 17th place in the Championship table.
