The Reds midfielder admits three other players, along with himself, must score more goals for the club.

Adam Lallana admits Philippe Coutinho, Jordan Henderson and Raheem Sterling must score more goals for Liverpool.

The £25 million summer signing scored his first goal for the Reds yesterday against West Brom and says he needs to kick on and net more now that he has opened his account.

But Lallana has also identified Henderson, who scored the winner against West Brom, Coutinho and Sterling as three players that need to ‘chip in and get goals.’

“We have got to chip in, the likes of me, Philippe, Hendo and Raheem. We know we’ve all got to chip in and get goals; if we do that, we’ll find ourselves winning a lot more games,” Lallana told Liverpool’s official website.

As Opta stats show, striker Daniel Sturridge scored more times than the trio combined last season, while centre-back Martin Skrtel scored more than Coutinho and Henderson individually. Lallana, meanwhile, netted as many as Sterling during his time at Southampton last campaign (nine).

This term, 19-year-old Sterling has made a sharper start, scoring three times in the Premier League – although his form has dipped since.

Henderson opened his account yesterday, while the out-of-form Coutinho is yet to do so this season, despite showing small signs of improvement against the Baggies.
