Leandro Trossard to Arsenal looks only a matter of time.
According to BBC Sport, the Gunners have agreed a £21 million deal to sign the Belgium international in January.
Trossard looks set to become the latest high-profile player to leave Brighton & Hove Albion and will follow Ben White – a £50 million signing in 2021 – to Arsenal.
But his teammate at the Seagulls, Adam Lallana, claims that he and his colleagues will be absolutely fine without the attacker, by virtue of how Albion have coped since losing other big-name stars.
He told Sky Sports on Thursday: “You only need to look at the last three games without him, I think it’s been 5-1, 4-1 and 3-0. So as I said to you earlier, players can leave Brighton but we’ve got enough without them. We had enough without [Yves] Bissouma, [Marc] Cucurella, Ben White, Dan Burn, when Neal [Maupay] moved on. So if Leo moves on we’ll cope. We’re coping already.”

Lallana, who earns £90,000 per week at Brighton [Spotrac], does make a very valid point.
But by the same token, that doesn’t mean that Arsenal aren’t signing a quality player at the same time.
This is someone who scored a hat-trick away to Liverpool earlier this season, a feat accomplished by very few in the Premier League era.
And more importantly, he’ll add a lot of depth to the North Londoners’ squad, particularly as he can operate on either wing.
Lallana might be right in saying that Brighton will be okay without him, but Arsenal will be even better with him.
