Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana worked with Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino at Southampton.

Liverpool attacking midfielder Adam Lallana has revealed to The Mirror that he follows Tottenham Hotspur closely.
The England international, who can also play as a winger, has further disclosed that he is in touch with Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
Lallana worked with the Argentine boss at Southampton, and he seems to have huge respect for him.

It was under Pochettino that the 28-year-old blossomed and attracted the attention of Liverpool before joining the Merseyside outfit in the summer of 2014.
“I do follow Tottenham closely because my old manager is there and I have a good relationship with him still,” Lallana told The Mirror. “I was delighted they had a good season.
“It’s no coincidence he continues producing young England players, it shows what a top manager he is. I’ve known that ever since I started working with him. He uses it as a philosophy that if you train hard, the game almost feels easier.”

Reported Tottenham Hotspur interest
Lallana is a good attacking midfielder, and he was linked with a move to Tottenham last month.
The Sun claimed that Pochettino wanted to sign the Englishman for Spurs and was ready to pay a transfer fee of £20 million.
However, the Liverpool midfielder soon dismissed the speculation, telling Sky Sports that he is happy at Anfield and wants to remain on Merseyside.
While Lallana clearly has massive respect for Pochettino, Tottenham fans are unlikely to see him play for the North London outfit next season.
