Adam Forshaw has been an unsung hero since he joined Leeds United in 2018.

Adam Forshaw has shared that Jonathan Woodgate told him that Leeds United are an ‘absolute great club’ before he moved to Elland Road nearly two years ago.
During the 2018 January transfer window, Leeds secured the signature of the 27-year-old when he made the switch from Championship rivals Middlesbrough for £4.5 million [BBC Sport].
Since then, Forshaw has been an important figure for Leeds, both on and off the pitch, as he is currently battling an injury having started the first six Championship games of the season.
Nonetheless, Forshaw admitted that as soon as Leeds were keen on his services it was a ‘no brainer’ for him to sign for the club.
“As soon as Leeds were interested it was a no brainer,” said Forshaw, as posted by LUFC’s official Twitter account. “I played with Jonathan Woodgate and he said you’re signing for an absolute great club, he loved his time here.”
Woodgate is a Leeds legend, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to hear from the supporters perspective that he has been so complimentary towards his former club.
At the time Forshaw joined Leeds, Woodgate would have been part of Middlesbrough coaching staff, working under Tony Pulis.
But since then Pulis has left Boro and Woodgate is now manager of the North East club. He is set to meet Leeds at the end of November, with his team making an indifferent start to the season.
