Adam Forshaw has taken to Instagram to send a 9-word message to Jamie Shackleton, as he continues to recover from a nightmare injury at Leeds.

The 29-year-old has been missing for ages now, with his last appearance coming against Charlton in September 2019.

Forshaw is struggling with a hip problem, and has missed a grand total of 64 league games – it really has been a nightmarish time for him.

After Shackleton posted a photo of himself on Instagram, the Leeds No.4 commented with a message about the pair doing rehab sessions.

You can see the exchange below.

It’s good to see that Forshaw hasn’t lost his sense of humour, at a time where he would have every right to be feeling pretty miserable.

It must be heartbreaking to see his teammates playing in the Premier League week in, week out, while he’s stuck in the gym working on his fitness.

Furthermore, while Kalvin Phillips was out for a while this season, Forshaw would’ve been the perfect man to come in and replace him.

As the Yorkshire Evening Post superbly described it, the Liverpool-born midfielder brings an element of control to the frenetic chaos of Bielsaball.

Marcelo Bielsa praised Forshaw’s commitment to his rehab, revealing to the Yorkshire Evening Post that he’s been working ‘tirelessly’ to make his comeback.

Hopefully, we can see the former Wigan man back in action at Elland Road very soon – it’s been awful to see him out for such a long time.
