Adam Forshaw joined Leeds United from Middlesbrough in the January transfer window.

Forshaw joined Leeds from Championship rivals Middlesbrough in the January transfer window for a fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £4.5 million.
The 26-year-old midfielder knows Orta from their time together at Boro, with the latter working as the club’s head of recruitment before he moved to Leeds.

The former Brentford and Wigan Athletic midfielder has suggested that Orta played a key role in his decision to move to Elland Road.
Forshaw has also revealed the discussions he has had with head coach Thomas Christiansen over how he fits into his team.

“Yeah he was,” Forshaw told Leeds Live when asked about Orta’s role in signing him. “I knew him from Middlesbrough, when someone shows that much interest it was a no brainer.”
“I think he knows the sort of player that I am so there’s been no specific message,” added Forshaw about discussions with Christiansen. “He has told me the formations he likes – 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3 – and how I fit into those.”
Leeds are ninth in the Championship table at the moment with 43 points from 28 matches, five points behind sixth-placed Fulham, who have a game in hand.
The Whites will return to action on Tuesday evening when they take on Hull City away from home in the league.
