Adam Forshaw played for Leeds United against Wigan Athletic in the Championship on Sunday.

Forshaw has disclosed that he was sick on Saturday and did not train with his Leeds teammates ahead of their Championship match against Wigan away from home at the DW Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The 27-year-old midfielder has stated that he is desperate to play for Marcelo Bielsa’s side and is keen on retaining his place in the team.
Forshaw told The Yorkshire Evening Post: “I was sick and I didn’t train. I met up with the team late on. I’ve waited that long to get back in the team that I didn’t want to miss the opportunity.
“I’m pleased to get through 90 minutes and I can rest up now for next week. I don’t want to harp on about it because it’s one of those things but I’m desperate to play.
“I met up at the hotel, had a good sleep and felt a lot better in the morning. I’ve worked hard trying to be as fit as possible.”

Determination
Forshaw made his first start of the season in the Championship last weekend against Nottingham Forest at Elland Road.
The former Everton and Middlesbrough midfielder played well against Forest, and his performance against Wigan on Sunday afternoon was also encouraging.
The 27-year-old must be praised for playing on Sunday despite feeling sick, and he should also be lauded for putting in yet another strong shift for his team.
Leeds won 2-1 against Wigan and are now at the top of the Championship table.
