New Leeds United man Adam Forshaw is liking the look of Ronaldo Vieira.

Adam Forshaw has told a press conference, via Leeds United’s Facebook page, that new team-mate Ronaldo Vieira has been impressing him in training this past week.

Leeds’ warm weather training camp in Spain last week offered the chance for the 26-year-old to get to know his new colleagues following a £4.5 million move (Daily Mail) from Middlesbrough.

Forshaw will be competing with the likes of Vieira, Eunan O’Kane and Kalvin Phillips for a midfield place this season.

Vieira is one of the most exciting young players in the Championship, evident by his breakthrough season under Garry Monk last term.

And the big-money winter addition claimed that the 19-year-old is reminding everybody of his talent in training.

He told Leeds’ Facebook page, after being asked who impressed him in Spain last week: “Ronaldo. Ronaldo’s been showing that he’s a good young player and he’s got a lot about him and definitely has a bright future.”

With O’Kane and Phillips suspended, Whites boss Thomas Christiansen must decide whether to give Forshaw a full Leeds debut alongside Vieira in tomorrow’s trip to Hull City.

The youngster made his return to United’s first XI for the 4-3 defeat by Millwall last week following an injury, and he should be rearing to go no matter who Christiansen puts beside him.
