‘Love it’: Jonathan Woodgate reacts to news emerging from Leeds United

Jonathan Woodgate has expressed his delight on Instagram after seeing the news that Leeds United midfielder Adam Forshaw has signed a new contract.

Leeds have announced on their official website that midfielder Forshaw has signed a new deal.

The midfielder was due to become a free agent at the end of the season.

Forshaw has agreed an extension that will see him stay at Leeds until the summer of 2023.

Leeds also hold ‘an option within the new contract to extend it by a further 12 months’.

Forshaw has taken to Instagram to express his delight at extending his stay at Leeds, and former Elland Road central defender Woodgate is delighted for him.

Woodgate played with Forshaw at Middlesbrough.

Adam Forshaw is important for Leeds United

Forshaw had a very long spell on the sidelines due to injury, but he is now back and playing regularly for Leeds.

The midfielder has established himself as an important player for the team and is doing well in the Premier League.

The Leeds no. 4 has made nine starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League so far this season.

Forshaw has also made two starts and one substitute appearance in the Carabao Cup and has made one substitute appearance in the FA Cup.
