Adam Forshaw claims Victor Orta’s true character came out during Leeds United’s documentary

Leeds United will be hoping to put the wrongs of last season right by earning promotion to the Premier League this season.

Adam Forshaw has claimed that Leeds United’s ‘Take Us Home’ documentary showed the true character of a lot of people at the club, including the criticised Victor Orta.

The experienced Leeds player also admitted that he felt ‘sorry’ for how everything ended for owner Andrea Radrizzani last season, as the club were beaten in the play-off semi-final.

Throughout Marcelo Bielsa’s debut campaign at Leeds, supporters were able to see inside and never-seen-before footage of how their dramatic season unfolded through this Amazon documentary.

Speaking on TalkingShutt, Forshaw shared his thoughts on taking part in that documentary, and how previously criticised figures at the club were shown in a true light.

“A lot of the time they were in the background,” Forshaw told Talking Shutt. “Especially on game days, but there are a lot of cameras anyway, with Leeds being on Sky a lot, you wouldn’t notice. But then there would be certain set-up ones where they would ask to come to your home, which was good.

“To be honest, I felt for the owner a little because this is a big thing for him and it would have been good to put that sweet ending on it – Victor, for example, it shows that he’s come in for a bit of stick since he’s come to Leeds and I think it did show how much it matters to people, players and staff, the likes of Victor. What they really put on and how much they wear their heart on their sleeve when it comes to the club.”

Last season was one of the best Leeds United supporters have experienced, but equally, one of the most painful because of the manner in which it ended.

Whilst Leeds crashed out in heartbreaking fashion last term, Marcelo Bielsa will be hoping his players can put the wrongs of the previous campaign right this time around.

At this moment in time, they are sitting third in the Championship table, as they could move top at the weekend if they pick up three points against QPR, and other results fall in their favour.
