Arsenal are “playing like they are on course to win the league”, according to Michael Bridge.

The Sky Sports journalist told GiveMeSport it’s “scary” how good the Gunners have been from the off.

Not only that, but Arsenal have maintained momentum with little in the way of downturns in form.

The Gunners remain five points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

Arsenal did wobble a bit last month, which led to the Citizens briefly leapfrogging them at the summit.

However, the Gunners have since returned to form and are relentlessly pressing on in pursuit of the title.

Fulham away was expected to be a tricky fixture, but Arsenal ended up hammering their opponents 3-0.

Leandro Trossard claimed a hat-trick of assists after setting-up goals for Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard.

Better still, Arsenal had put the game beyond the Cottagers’ reach by half-time.

And it’s worth remembering the Gunners have been without Gabriel Jesus for months now.

The Brazilian’s first Arsenal appearance since the World Cup came off the bench against Fulham.

‘They’re being consistent’

“It’s actually scary how good they’ve been from the start of the season and they’ve just carried this on,” Bridge told GiveMeSport.

“I think they’re going to win the title.

“Even little things like scoring so late against Bournemouth in the 97th minute.

“Casemiro being banned for their game, Palhinha being banned on Sunday and Willian picking up a knock.

“Little things are going their way, but they’re playing well at the same time. They’re being consistent.

“They’re playing for 97 minutes, like at Villa the other week when Martinez scored that own goal.

“To win leagues, things do have to go your way as well, and they are.

“But they are playing like they are on course to win the league.”
