Tottenham Hotspur fans’ optimism for their clash with Manchester City tomorrow has just risen.
The Daily Mail suggest that Ruben Dias, Fernandinho and Rodri are all doubts for the fixture against Jose Mourinho’s side, as they are suffering from injury and illness.
Tottenham’s task of winning against City, even without the trio available still looks difficult, but their fans are slightly more confident about getting a result now than they were before the news broke.
Dias would be the biggest blow for City to lose, but the absence of two defensive midfielders in Rodri and Fernandinho would also be difficult to deal with.
Tottenham have already proven they can beat City this season, as they won 2-0 when the two sides met earlier in the season.
On that occasion Mourinho’s men picked up the win thanks to goals from Son Heung-Min and Giovani Lo Celso.
It should be noted that City are a different team from that day now, and Tottenham also have fallen away recently, after showing some poor form.
