Some Rangers supporters are reacting to a rumoured Ibrox target’s cryptic Twitter post.
The Amiens midfielder, Bongani Zungu – who has been linked with a move to Rangers throughout the summer transfer window – wrote on Monday evening:
It followed Zungu’s surprise return to action on Saturday, having previously been frozen out by Amiens and made to train away from the first team.
But the following Rangers fans think the 27-year-old could be hinting at an imminent switch to Ibrox…
Following Zungu’s tweet, The Scotsman claimed that Rangers have ‘revived their interest’ in the South African midfielder.
Suggestions of Zungu being unfit and having failed a medical at Rangers were denied within the story, which was written by a journalist, Joe Crann, with strong connections in the player’s home country.

It was added that Amiens are holding out for €4 million (around £3.6m) for Zungu, who is in the final year of his contract and can therefore open talks to sign a pre-contract deal from the New Year.
But Rangers are said to have competition for his signature from clubs in La Liga, as well as Olympiacos.
