Speaking on the UMM YouTube channel, Thierry Henry has been waxing-lyrical about reported Liverpool target Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe has been compared to Henry ever since he burst onto the scene with Monaco, and Henry has finally been asked about the PSG star.
What’s been said?
Henry refused to give an answer when asked if Mbappe was the heir to his throne, but he did give him a rave review.
“Wow. Haha, you know what, I can’t answer that with a yes or no, because I can’t compare different eras. I think he’s the king of his own kingdom. I had my time and he has his time. The only thing I’m happy about is that he’s French. He’s the king of his own kingdom and I love that,” Henry said.
The former Arsenal man was asked about whether or not Mbappe is faster than he was in his prime, to which he replied:
“I don’t know, people always speak about speed, and what I could do, and what he does so well is that he doesn’t slow down when he has the ball, when he has the ball he looks even more fast. It’s actually crazy, I knew I was fast, and I know the man himself is very fast, but I guess we’ll never know”

Unbelievable
Mbappe is one of the best strikers in the world right now, and we can only imagine the type of impact he would have if he came to the Premier League.
Henry has to be considered one of the best players the English top-flight has ever seen, but it has to be said that Mbappe could even surpass his legacy if he came to Liverpool.
Mbappe to Liverpool is a distinct possibility, the Frenchman is reportedly keen on the move, and the Reds have a strong interest, so that’s a move that could happen in the future.
Henry says Mbappe is the king these days, and he’s not wrong.
