Lazaar has not been able to put himself in the shop window, during his time in Italy. In fact, Lazaar’s value has only decreased during his time with Benevento.

The Serie A side are stuck to the bottom of the table, yet he has been completely frozen out, with his current manager reportedly feeling he is not good enough, according to the Chronicle.

Lazaar has played just nine times all season, and he has not featured since November.

And if Newcastle do want to sell Lazaar again when the transfer window re-opens, then his terrible loan spell at Benevento is unlikely to have encouraged any potential buyers to make a bid.
