Mina Rzouki has claimed that AC Milan are ‘looking more’ at Real Madrid forward, Marco Asensio, rather than Leeds United transfer target, Hakim Ziyech.
With Raphinha heading for the Leeds exit door, possibly to Chelsea, those in the Elland Road boardroom have put Ziyech on their transfer radar.
Leeds are going to have two big voids in their team if the rumoured transfers of Raphinha and their boyhood fan, Kalvin Phillips, go through.

Given that Ziyech is playing for a team in the Champions League, after joining from another team in the same competition in Ajax, then from that perspective, it is going to be hard to lure him to Elland Road, but God loves a trier.
However, could Leeds be helped out by another interested party in AC Milan pushing for Real Madrid’s Asensio instead of Ziyech, well Rzouki shared that’s where the Serie A champions are looking, as she told Sky Sports News.
“This is where it gets interesting,” said Rzouki. “According to Italy, right now, Milan are looking more at Asensio from Real Madrid, rather than Ziyech at Chelsea.
“However, Ziyech is 29 and there is the possibility of a better deal with Chelsea, in the sense, that it would be a loan and just an obligation to buy, which perhaps suits the financial situation to what Asensio is.
“There is also some reported interest in Asensio from Liverpool, if that’s true, then it remains to be seen. But given that Ziyech is an assist man, they have Origi and Rebic, then maybe he might be the better shout, so it is something they have started to look into in greater detail.”

LEEDS IN FOR A TOUGH MENTAL BATTLE
Given the number of goals Leeds conceded last season, on top of the possibility of them losing their star players, it’s going to be more of a mental battle than anything next season.
As soon as Jesse Marsch’s side concede three or four in a game, those critics will be on them that it’s a sign of what will come throughout the campaign.
Plus, the pressure the new signings will be under, as well as the current stars, is going to be immense because of the void Phillips and Raphinha will leave.
It’s hard enough for a team in the Premier League to lose one star player, but the other to follow suit in the same window is troubling.
