As for Tottenham, they could dearly do with Carter-Vickers developing into a first team player for them, considering how exposed they have looked lately without Toby Alderweireld.
The Sun reported in November that Sheffield United feared Spurs could recall Carter-Vickers.
Irrespective of his current form, Spurs could need him if Alderweireld’s injury requires an operation, with the untested Juan Foyth their third choice centre-back.
