Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter to rumours that Tottenham have been offered £100 million, plus the likes of Raheem Sterling for Harry Kane.

Manchester City are keen to bring Kane’s talents to the Etihad and have seemingly put a pretty ridiculous offer on the table for those at Spurs.

Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, has claimed on Twitter that Spurs would pay £100 million for Kane’s talents – and they have offered players in that deal, including the likes of ex-Liverpool academy product, Sterling.

There’s no doubt that all of this has caught the eye of Liverpool supporters, especially given that they will be challenging Man City for the Premier League title next season.

Plus, it’s been six years since Sterling swapped Liverpool for the Etihad in a £49 million deal (BBC Sport).

Sterling is only, 26, so he may well be asking questions as to why his name has cropped up in this crazy rumour mill, but it seems as though he doesn’t want to be part of such a deal.

And whilst the London-born player endured a difficult season in the Premier League recently, he has scored two goals at Euro 2020 from three games.

Many questioned whether Sterling should start for his country, but he is proving those critics wrongs with his goals.

Nonetheless, Sterling’s record against Liverpool since moving to Manchester hasn’t been all that great.

And if he does indeed make a surprise move to North London then it will be interesting to see how he fares against those from Merseyside.

In the meantime, here is a selection of Liverpool fans reacting to rumours of Sterling being offered in a potential deal to lure Kane to Man City:
