The two new summer signings are starting to gel at West Ham United.

West Ham United’s turnaround in form has been remarkable and the club now look like they could potentially challenge for the Europa League spots come the end of the season.
That is not something that many would have considered possible before the international break, as Manuel Pellegrini’s side had lost every game and sat bottom of the league.
Wins over Everton and Manchester United either side of a draw against Chelsea have put their mass summer spending in a very different light. It is still early days and, despite the apparent success, you have got to imagine it can get even better.
One player who believes things can still improve is Issa Diop, who spoke after the victory against Manchester United to heap praise on his new centre-back partner Fabian Balbuena.
“We [Balbuena and Diop] are improving with each game,” Diop told the official club site. “We are building the relationship because we have only played a few games together.
“He is a very good defender and it’s easy for me to play with him because he is very strong, he talks and has experience.”

Things like that must be music to the ears of West Ham fans. Even though they have just played Manchester United off the park, Diop believes that his partnership with Balbuena is only getting started, and that is an exciting thought.
It sounds like a match made in heaven with the young, athletic defender starring alongside a more experienced player; and Diop considering him easy to play with makes it even better.
West Ham are only just getting started under Pellegrini and who knows how far they can go?
