Reports indicate that Everton are interested in Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck and Real Sociedad’s Adnan Januzaj.

Two separate reports on Wednesday suggest that a trio of Manchester United old boys are on Everton’s wish list this summer.
Firstly, Belgian publication nieuwsblad.be report that the Toffees are considering Adnan Januzaj, now at Real Sociedad, to answer their issues on the wing next season.
The Mirror then reported that Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck and Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha are on the agenda as well.
Zaha would be considered a real coup, if Everton manage to land him, as the winger has gone on to prove himself as more than capable in the Premier League at Palace.
The other two, however, hark back to an era at Goodison Park that must surely be left behind.
Everton built an unwanted reputation for United cast-offs with purchases like Darren Gibson, Tom Cleverley, and Morgan Schneiderlin (among others) and both Januzaj and Welbeck fit into that bracket.

Neither were deemed good enough at Old Trafford and neither has performed to a level that would improve Everton since leaving. Welbeck may be a talented player but, injuries or not, Arsenal have never got more than five Premier League goals out of him in four years.
Januzaj has struggled since his breakout year with United, managing a combined four league goals in the four years since.
These are not the players Everton need if they want to move forward; the Toffees badly need players on the up, something to excite the crowd and keep progressing.
Januzaj and Welbeck are not that and it is time to leave those signings to an era long gone.
