Everton’s Director of Football was caught on camera in the tunnel after the Toffees defeated Leicester City at the weekend.

Director of Football of Everton Marcel Brands attends the pre-season friendly match between Everton and Valencia at Goodison Park on August 4, 2018 in Liverpool, England.

Everton continued their upswing under Marco Silva at the weekend with a 2-1 win away at Leicester City.

The result leaves the Toffees on 12 points heading into the international break; good enough for eleventh place under the new boss.

Keeping in spirit with the positivity around the club, some Everton fans are thrilled to see their Director of Football Marcel Brands in the tunnel after the Leicester game, where he congratulated each and every player.

It is easy to understand why Everton fans would be so happy to see that level of unity in the team. They did have to endure over half a season of the Sam Allardyce era, after all.

The entire club certainly feels far more positive than it has for quite a while, not just on the pitch but in the background, too.

Using that unity to Everton’s advantage and establishing it long term is something that will certainly need time, however, but the positivity can only help speed things up.

With both Brands and Silva looking like astute additions to the club, Everton are definitely a team on the up.
