Celtic’s Kieran Tierney is arguably the most exciting Scottish talent in years and Tottenham Hotspur should make their move.

The print edition of the Daily Express reports that Tottenham Hotspur are set to move for Celtic’s Kieran Tierney when the summer window opens, in a move that would help Spurs on multiple fronts.
Tierney is arguably the most exciting Scottish player to come around in years; something that has been recognised by the 20-year-old winning the Scottish PFA Young Player of the Year award in each of his three full seasons, and that on its own puts him under consideration.

But Tierney would represent more than that to Tottenham as he would also help sort out the problem with Danny Rose.
Rose has been a fine full-back for Spurs but is widely reported to have wanted out of the club for a while now, with Manchester United his supposed destination.

Here is an opportunity for Spurs to replace Rose with a player of immense potential and, given the possible fees involved, at a large profit.
That is profit that can be put towards other areas of the squad where it is sorely needed – be it back-up for Harry Kane or replacing the supposedly-departing Mousa Dembele.
This is an opportunity that should not be missed and Tottenham could reap the rewards for years to come if they replace Rose with the Celtic youngster.
