Leicester City boss Claude Puel has admitted that he may rest Harry Maguire and Wilfred Ndidi for Saturday’s game with Huddersfield Town.

If Claude Puel does decide to take the risk and leave out Harry Maguire and Wilfred Ndidi this weekend, then it’s a real opportunity to judge Leicester City’s work in the transfer market.
The Foxes have bought young and invested heavily in their squad over the last two seasons, leaving them with solid options all over the pitch.
And Puel admits he may take advantage of that for the first time when they meet Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
“We have to see if I have to protect some players,” said Puel. “Perhaps with Harry, because he played two full games with his team [England].
“Perhaps also with Ndidi, for example, because he travelled a lot to play against Seychelles, to play in Liberia.”
Leicester brought in six first-team players this summer, losing only one in Riyad Mahrez, adding to the four from the previous year.
It means that, while their first team isn’t as strong, their squad has come on leaps and bounds since their title-winning season – a year that saw them rarely change their starting eleven.

Now, leaving out Maguire would be a particularly big risk as Wes Morgan is suspended for the game, but the Foxes have two obvious replacements: Jonny Evans and Caglar Soyuncu, both signed this summer.
That’s very good squad depth for an upper-midtable side, and similarly, Adrien Silva can move into position for Ndidi alongside Nampalys Mendy.
If they can make the switches seamlessly, it would be a fantastic reflection on their transfer business.
