The AC Milan defender would be an excellent addition to the Liverpool squad.

Many expect Liverpool to mount a sustained push for the Premier League title next season, and Jürgen Klopp has already strengthened his squad in a bid to close the gap on Manchester City.
More work still needs to be done at Anfield, however, especially in the defensive department, and the addition of another top class centre-back will surely still feature highly on Klopp’s agenda.
With this in mind, the Reds should consider a move for AC Milan centre-back Alessio Romagnoli, who could be available for €60 million (£52.7 million) this summer, according to Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato.

The 23-year-old is one of the continent’s best young defenders, and the left-footed Italian would be the ideal central defensive partner for Virgil Van Dijk at Anfield.
Romagnoli plays with a certain type of maturity that defies his tender years, and possesses an excellent understanding of how to defend – as most Italians do.
Standing at 6ft 2in tall, the AC Milan ace is also strong in the air. He has the total package, and potential to become one of the best defenders in Europe.

Whilst £52.7 million seems like a lot of money at first glance, in the grand scheme of things it actually represents good value, and it could be the signing that transforms Liverpool into real title contenders next season.
Romagnoli is already incredibly experienced, and if Klopp manages to bring him to Anfield next season, the rest of the Premier League will surely be casting envious eyes over the Anfield club’s summer transfer business.
