Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in AC Milan left-back Ricardo Rodriguez this summer despite already boasting Danny Rose and Ben Davies, and fans of the Italian club are desperate to see the Swiss defender leave.

Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb claim 25-year-old Rodriguez is a target for Spurs this summer, despite only moving to Milan this time last year from German side Wolfsburg.

Spurs are not the only side interested in the 57-time Switzerland international’s signature, though, with German giants Borussia Dortmund also keen on landing Rodriguez.

The left-back was part of the Milan side that reached the last of 16 at the World Cup this summer, before they were cruelly knocked out by Sweden who won 1-0 thanks to a deflected goal from RB Leipzig ace Emil Forsberg.

Rodriguez was decent for Milan last season, scoring four goals and creating another two strikes as well as helping Milan keep 20 clean sheets during his 47 league and cup outings.

He has a contract until 2021 and despite his strong 2017-18 campaign, the majority of Milan fans want to see the back of Rodriguez while some suggested a swap deal with Spurs: “€100million plus Son Heung-min.”
