Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Brighton & Hove Albion’s Pascal Gross.

The Mirror reported today that Liverpool are eyeing up a £15million move for Brighton & Hove Albion’s Pascal Gross.
Gross is mentioned as a direct alternative to Nabil Fekir. The Frenchman was a high-profile target for Liverpool in the summer but the move broke down after issues with his medical.
The Brighton man certainly is not as big a name as World Cup-winning Lyon captain Fekir but Gross’s statistics from last season do suggest he could fill a role for Liverpool.
Gross scored seven and assisted another eight for a Brighton side that finished in 15th place and you would imagine that kind of creativity in midfield would help Jurgen Klopp’s side.
And you cannot help but wonder if the recent success stories of Andy Robertson and Xherdan Shaqiri have helped inspire Klopp and the Reds to take another gamble at the lower end of the table.
Robertson was signed from relegated Hull City a little over a year ago but has quickly developed into one of the best left-backs around.

Similarly, Shaqiri was a £13million signing from relegated Stoke City in the summer and has already established himself as a key member of Klopp’s squad.
So perhaps Liverpool have seen exactly what value for money you can get from the lower end of the table – players with the experience in the league, looking to step up, and for considerably less money than someone like Fekir would cost.
