The Welshman has been impressing at Derby County this season and will surely join Jurgen Klopp’s squad next year.

Harry Wilson has made headlines twice since joining Derby County on loan for the 18/19 season – both times with spectacular free-kicks.
Firstly, there was his brilliant, swerving effort at Old Trafford that helped knock Manchester United out of the League Cup and gave Wilson the opportunity to endear himself to Liverpool with a five-fingered salute to the home supporters.
A few weeks later he was at it again, smashing a free-kick into the top corner for Wales.
It’s not just his free-kicks that have caught the eye, however, as his performances in general have impressed at Derby.
What’s particularly notable is his move into the middle of Frank Lampard’s midfield – and that’s something that could prove especially interesting for Liverpool.
Should Wilson continue to prove himself there, Liverpool will be left with a change of plan in two areas. On one hand, it would help provide that extra creativity in midfield that Klopp’s side have been looking for and would be especially useful if Adam Lallana’s Anfield career is coming to an end.

But it would also open up a spot for a new young winger in Klopp’s squad.
Previously, any move for a player like Christian Pulisic wouldn’t have made too much sense with Wilson coming through – even if they were more talented, any signing would have come at the cost of the 21-year-old’s development.
Should Wilson move into the middle permanently though, the chance is there to sign an exciting winger without halting his progress – and that could prove very beneficial with several big prospects about right now.
They may not have done it themselves, but Wilson’s transition could be a very positive one going forward for Liverpool.
