The Sassuolo forward is linked with Roma but would offer Everton much of what they’re missing.

Everton’s attacking issues are well documented, dating back to last summer when they inexplicably failed to sign a reliable forward or anyone with pace – problems that were half solved in the sumer with the arrivals of Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun.
Neither have offered the flair that the fans sorely want, however – as tough as that was under Sam Allardyce – but there is a player available who could provide that, should Everton take a chance.

Domenico Berardi is only 23-years-old but has long been a target of clubs all over Europe ever since the Sassuolo man burst onto the scene with 31 goals and 16 assists over his first two Serie A seasons.
Those came when he was just 19 and 20; things have slowed down since – Berardi has scored 16 and set up 17 in the three years since – but his talent is undeniable.
Able to play as a striker or an advanced winger, Berardi’s versatility would allow him to really find a place in the Everton side rather than suffer in the way that Davy Klaassen and Sandro Ramirez did. Unable to make immediate impacts in their regular positions, the duo became totally frozen out, playing a little over a dozen games between them.

Berardi does need to refind his form but the potential there is enormous. It makes him suited to a side like Everton who are in the market for risks and, should he find his stride, are crying out for a talented forward to be their main man – something they’ve sorely lacked once Lukaku left.
AS Roma are linked with a move after Sassuolo dropped their asking price, reports Corriere dello Sport (via Talksport). Given Roma’s recent financial issues (as shown here by Forbes, the club is losing money), Everton can challenge here. And they might just find that they’re exactly what Berardi is looking for.
