Brighton and Hove Albion have faced several top contenders for the crown already this season.

Brighton & Hove Albion head into the weekend’s game away at Everton on the back of three straight 1-0 wins, enough to move them up to 11th in the Premier League table.
The Seagulls went through a tough start to the season, however, that saw them take five points from their opening seven games; although it is no surprise when you look at their fixtures.
Away trips to Liverpool and Manchester City brought defeats, as did a visit from Tottenham Hotspur, but they did manage a 3-2 win over last season’s runners-up Manchester United.
With all four of them having started the season with dreams of the title, full-back Martin Montoya has weighed in on exactly who he sees as contending for the crown.
“There are many teams which are in the high level,” said Montoya, reports FourFourTwo. “We have faced City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham – they are fantastic teams and they know what they do.
“At the end, they are world class teams which are always high not only in the Premier League, but also in European competitions and I couldn’t pick one because all of them are very good, with great players.

“I see City as very strong. City and Chelsea. If I have to choose someone, I would say City and Chelsea.”
It is probably telling that the only team Montoya was prepared to put alongside City was one he has not faced yet, with the others clearly not matching up.
It would be interesting to know if Chelsea still look that strong after facing them, or whether up close they are still no match for the reigning champions.
What is clear is that, in Montoya’s mind, only one question remains when it comes to the Premier League title: are Chelsea the team to challenge City?
