Rafa Benitez’s comments on Newcastle’s transfer policy this window suggest a move for Liverpool’s Divock Origi would be ideal.

Rafa Benitez discussed transfers on Wednesday, admitting that one attribute, in particular, is being targeted by Newcastle in this window.
“What I’ll say about transfers is that Premier League experience is a key part of our idea and what we’re trying to do,” said Benitez.
“Loans are the same but we only have one more in England, so we have to look abroad to see any other options.”
That one more could, and perhaps should, be Liverpool’s Divock Origi.
The Belgian has seen his stock fall over the last few years, having originally signed for Liverpool after impressive showings at the 2014 World Cup.
He wasn’t a part of the squad this time around, however, primarily down to a poor showing in a poor Wolfsburg side.
But both of his full seasons with Liverpool saw him finish with at least 10 goals in all competitions, and Rafa Benitez might be the man to get even more out of him.

Origi clearly ticks the Premier League experience box and he also fits the bill for a Benitez front man; quick, strong, and direct, Origi could benefit from the Spaniard in the same way Fernando Torres did.
He already meets the requirements: Origi is happy to chase lost causes, he’s a threat in behind with his pace, and he can poach in the box – exactly what Benitez needs.
He’s never going to reach Torres levels, obviously, but he can play that role. If Benitez is also looking for Premier League experience and even a loan signing, it’s difficult to think of someone more suited than Divock Origi.
