The new Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has reportedly joined the queue to sign Cabit.
Fans of French side AC Ajaccio are warning Leeds United they must ‘pay what it takes’ if they wish to sign left-back Manuel Cabit.
The Daily Mirror named Cabit as a target for new Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa on Tuesday, and listed RC Lens, FC Metz and Montpellier HSC as rival suitors of the 25-year-old.
According to Transfermarkt, Cabit’s contract is due to expire at the end of this month, which, if true, would enable the Martinique-born player to leave Ajaccio for free.
However, the reaction of some L’ours supporters on Twitter suggests this is not in fact the case.
Were it up to them, Cabit would be setting Leeds back between €1.5million (£1.3million) and €5million (£4.4million)…

Predominantly a left-back, Cabit has also appeared as a central defender in his time and such versatility may appeal to Bielsa, whose systems are famously flexible.
Standing at a deceptively short 5ft 11.5in, Cabit could certainly hold his own on the left of a back three.
